Since 2022, Planit Consulting has been supporting Kyogle Council to deliver flood recovery works across multiple landslip sites throughout the Shire. The program is restoring critical access and improving safety across an extensive rural road network.
With works spread across steep terrain and remote locations, the program requires coordinated investigations, design, stakeholder management and construction support to deliver practical, long term outcomes for local communities.
Our Role
Planit’s multidisciplinary team has provided:
- Coordination of site investigations, design and contractor management
- Supervision of slope stabilisation works, including gabion wall construction
- Replacement of causeways and bridge abutments
- Liaison with stakeholders and funding bodies
- Cost estimation, programming and progress reporting
Recent activity has included:
- Kyogle Road, Homeleigh Road and Iron Pot Creek Road soil nail repairs
- Lions Road gabion basket wall construction and soil nailing
- Doohans Road bridge abutment grout filling and scour protection
- Horseshoe Creek Road and Sandy Creek Road causeway replacements
- Gradys Creek Road enabling works now underway
Outcome
